How do I know what ring size I am?
See a helpful guide here. We recommend double (or triple!) checking to ensure accuracy, and it helps to work with a buddy. Ideally a ring will fit snugly enough that it won't slip off and has some resistance going over the knuckle, but not so tight that it cuts into the skin or won't allow you to bend your finger. Keep in mind that temperature changes and many other factors can change your ring size somewhat on any given day.
I ordered the wrong size. Can I exchange for a different one?
Yes! We will accept size exchanges up to 90 days after your purchase. Please be sure to mail your ring in the box it came in or similarly sturdy packaging to ensure that it arrives safely back. There is no sizing charge but you will be asked to pay for the return shipping. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to begin the process.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Items that see frequent wear, like rings, tend to stay fairly polished from the oils in your skin and regular washing with soap and water. It is safe to wear your brass and silver jewelry in the shower and while washing hands or dishes, but avoid using hand sanitizer and lotions while wearing brass rings. Both brass and silver will oxidize when left sitting for long periods.
Cleaning and polishing is easy with natural and household products or commercial cleaners. If you want to brighten and refresh the polish on your brass piece, you can use a mix of lemon juice and baking soda, scrub with a cotton ball, Q tip, or soft tooth brush and let sit in the mixture for up to 30 minutes. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly. You can also soak in white vinegar for up to an hour, checking frequently, and then scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse and dry. Silver can be cleaned with toothpaste and a cotton ball, cloth, or soft bristled tooth brush. Rinse and dry thoroughly. When using commercial products, follow all instructions for safety and proper use as listed on the label.
Will brass jewelry turn my skin green?
It's possible! Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and some people are more sensitive to copper than others. Prolonged moisture will encourage tarnishing so drying thoroughly after hand washing or showering in jewelry is very important. You might find that your skin turns green under your piece on a hot, humid day but is fine otherwise. To avoid this, you can paint your item with a coat of clear nail polish and re-coat periodically. Some people with more severe sensitivity may react to Sterling silver as well, which contains trace amounts of copper as well.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We do not accept returns. Exchanges may be made on a case by case basis.
